EAI’s SmartCity360 Summit is the first international Smart Cities Summit taking place in Europe and North America simultaneously, sponsored by EAI and i-Canada Alliance. It will be a platform for exchanging views, expert opinions, from research to market. The European part of the Summit will be held October 13-16 in Bratislava, Slovakia open by Maroš Šefčovič, Vice President of the European Commission.
EAI’s unique Innovation Summits bring best research ideas to be presented, community evalutaed and presented for virtual acceleration, through a dozen technical conferences held in Toronto and Bratislava.
Two of these, the International Conference on E-mobility, Self-driving Cars and Automation, and the International Conference on City, Data Analytics and Visualization in Civic Technology, are open for community proposals to Chair the conference. These will be held together with ten already established events covering all aspects of SmartCities research. Do not miss this opportunity to actively participate and influence the direction of international research!
In anticipation of this year’s conferences, we proudly continue to bring you samples of high-quality research by remarkable individuals from EAI’s Community. We hope the latter inspire you to look forward to the future of EAI, and the future of innovation within ICT at large.
We have interviewed the General Chairs of two of EAI’s upcoming conferences to find out what these events will focus on, how they will reflect the present, and help shape the future of research within their respective fields.
Context-based and usable security hold great potential for the next years’ most exciting research topics, as affirmed by Dr. Stephan Sigg. With Dr. Sigg,General Chair MobiCASE 2015, we also discussed new privacy trends for the upcoming future in the age of pervasive computing.
The importance to connect researchers and industry was the key topic of our interview with Dr. Chan-Hyun Youn, General Chair of CloudComp 2015. Dr, Youn confirmed that CloudComp 2015 will host institutions for technical demonstrations and exhibitions during the conference.
Make sure to read the great news that have been announced at CeBIT 2015, where we were representing FI-ADOPT project as well as the second issue of the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Context-Aware Systems and Applications. The journal is full of original ideas about how Context-Aware is going to shape computing and communication, and has been made available to you through EUDL.
Stay on top of latest developments within ICT, and be part of its future!
