Fabulous 2016 extended its deadline!

The 2nd EAI International Conference of Future Access Enablers of Ubiquitous and Intelligent Infrastractures (Fabulous 2016) will take place in Belgrade, Serbia on October 24-26, 2016.

The conference aims at gathering prominent researchers from academia and industry, innovators and entrepreneurs in the broad areas of future wireless networks, ambient and assisted living and smart infrastructures in order to interact, exchange ideas, expertise, experience and know-how and discuss the latest results and achievements in the aforementioned topics of interest.

Fabulous 2016 expects original works which describes theoretical work validated by simulation or experimental studies. Developed proof-of-concepts and testbeds are of particular interest.

Topics of interest include the following:

  • 5G access networks;
  • Cloud RANs;
  • Self-organizing networks;
  • Ad-hoc networking;
  • Cognitive radio;
  • Dynamic spectrum access;
  • Spectrum offloading;
  • MmW and cmW bands for future access;
  • Internet of things;
  • Web of things;
  • Wireless sensor networks and practical applications;
  • Machine-to-machine (M2M) communications;
  • Device-to-device (D2D) communications;
  • Smart environments and examples (smart grids, eHealth solutions, assisted multi-modal learning etc.);
  • Energy efficiency and green solutions;
  • Cloud computing;
  • Software defined networking;
  • Big data;
  • Security;
  • Life sciences;
  • Data mining;
  • Dataflow supercomputing.

The Conference will also host 4 workshops:  Future Access Networks (FAN 2016), eHealth and Biomedical Engineering (HeBiEn 2016), Enablers of Future Smart Infrastructures (EnFuSI 2016) and Data Mining, Big Data and Cloud Computing (DaMBiC 2016).

Furthermore, Fabulous 2016 will also host five keynote speeches given by: Prof. Dimitrios I. Fotiadis (University of Ioannina, Greece), Prof. Veljko Milutinovic (Serbian Academy of Engineering) Dr. Emil Jovanov (University of Alabama in Huntsville), Prof. Onur Mutlu (Carnegie Mellon University, PA, USA) and Prof. Liljana Gavrilovska (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, Ss Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje).

Accepted papers will be published in the FABULOUS Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). Proceedings will be available both in book form and via the SpringerLink digital library, which is one of the largest digital libraries online and covers a variety of scientific disciplines. Authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work through the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Pervasive Health and Technology.

Best Papers will be considered for publication in the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Pervasive Health and Technology.

FABULOUS 2015: Ubiquitous and Intelligent Infrastructures

FABULOUS 2015, the First EAI International Conference on Future Access Enablers of Ubiquitous and Intelligent Infrastructures is going to take place on September 23-25, in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia.

The conference aims at gathering prominent researchers from academia and industry, innovators and entrepreneurs in the broad areas of future wireless networks, ambient and assisted living, and smart infrastructures.

Considering the recent technology convergence within the ICT domain followed by increased user personalization, a multidisciplinary approach is needed in order to tackle future networking problems from different perspectives. FABULOUS 2015 will provide to its participants a forum where exchanging ideas, expertise, experience and know-how. Special emphasis will be put on the analysis of practical use-cases and business opportunities in different parts of the world, showcasing the social influence of the ICT.

Liljana Gavrilovska, from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, and Imrich Chlamtac, from Create-Net, will be General Co-Chairs of the conference. Furthermore, important worldwide experts in the field of ICT will participate as keynote speakers: Prof. Petri Mahonen, Prof. Luiz da Silva, Prof. Luis Muñoz, Prof. Alberto-Leon Garcia, Prof. Mischa Dohler and Prof. Veljko M. Milutinovic.

The event will foster a platform for exchange of research ideas and potential business cases organized into four distinct workshops and two special sessions.

SPECIAL SESSIONS:
