ValueTools 2016, the 10th EAI International Conference on Performance Evaluation Methodologies and Tools, will take place in Taormina, Italy on 26-28 October, 2016.
ValueTools 2016 focuses on methodologies and practices in modeling, performance evaluation and optimization of complex systems. It gathers together researchers from different communities including Computer Science, Networks and Telecommunications, Operations Research, Optimization, Control Theory and Manufacturing.
The conference solicits previously unpublished contributions that propose new performance evaluation methodologies and new tools on the following topics of interest:
- Communication & computer systems;
- Distributed systems;
- Cloud computing systems;
- Cloud and Edge/Fog computing systems;
- Machine Learning;
- Large-scale performance analysis;
- Interdisciplinary problems;
- Manufacturing systems & supply chains;
- Transportation systems;
- Internet of Things.
- Stochastic models;
- Process algebras;
- Queues and queueing networks;
- Discrete-event simulation;
- Mean-field techniques;
- Fluid approximations;
- Game Theory.
ValueTools 2016 is proud to welcome 3 keynote speakers: Prof. Kishor Trivedi (Duke University, North Carolina, USA) presenting the keynote speech entitled: ‘Reliability and Availability Modeling in Practice‘, Prof. Jiannong Cao (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) talking about ‘Mobile Cloud Application Partitioning in Dynamic and Multi-User Environments’ and Pierre L’Ecuyer (Université de Montréal, Canada) with the keynote speech on: ‘Supercanonical convergence rates in the simulation of Markov chains’.
The Conference is also proud to host InfQ 2016 workshop on “New Frontiers in Quantitative Methods in Informatics”. Click here for more information about the workshop!
