MOBIHEALTH 2015: submit your paper until July 1st!

The 5th International Conference on Wireless Mobile Communication and Healthcare – “Transforming healthcare through innovations in mobile and wireless technologies” (MOBIHEALTH 2015) will take place in London, Great Britain on October 14–16, 2015.

The MobiHealth 2015 Conference proposes to continue and extend the focus areas of the first 5 editions with focuses on specific research and scientific challenges in the Healthcare Technology domain faced in Europe and globally and hence more interactive input from industry. The essence of the conference lies in its interdisciplinary nature, with original contributions cutting across boundaries but all within the ambit of the application of mobile communications (technologies, standards, solutions, methodologies,…) to the improvement of human health. As such, the conference will have a multi-tier approach: going from implant sensors to ubiquitous patient monitoring environments and technologies from in-hospital to in-home.

The main themes will include:

  • Advances in sensor devices for biomedical monitoring;
  • Intra-body communication issues (propagation & transmission);
  • Body Area networks (architectures, protocols, scheduling, …);
  • Heterogenous and in-/on-/out- networks;
  • Wearable, outdoor and home-based applications;
  • Data collection and management at hubs, mobile devices and gateways;
  • Energy management and optimisation issues in biomedical devices and networks;
  • Decision support algorithms for data analysis;
  • Healthcare telemetry and telemedicine;
  • Remote diagnosis and patient management;
  • Accuracy, reliability, security, protection, identity, privacy, of diagnoses and data;
  • All-pervasive wireless systems for health applications;
  • Factoring in the environment (hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living,…).

Three keynotes will be given to cover the varied interests of the participants:

  • The way forward in personalised body are networks (consisting of several biomedical sensors inside, on or outside the body).
  • The importance of material science and engineering in deriving future smart healthcare systems. This will include aspect related to nano-technologies and reconfigurable mechanical and electronic devices.
  • Providing the optimum solution for patient monitoring and inclusion of users in the feedback and decision making through bi0directional interfaces and more physical/virtual interactions for areas even extending to mental health.

Important dates:

Paper submission deadline: July 1st, 2015

Acceptance Notification: August 10th, 2015

Camera-ready deadline: August 31st, 2015

MOBIQUITOUS 2015: the way to foster research collaboration in Ubiquitous Computing

The 12th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Computing, Networking and Services (MOBIQUITOUS 2015) is to take place in Coimbra, Portugal on July 22–24, 2015.

Despite the considerable research effort in the area of Ubiquitous Computing in the past decade, and the maturity of some of its base technologies, many challenges persist. The goal of the Twelfth Annual International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Computing, Networking and Services (MOBIQUITOUS 2015) is to provide a forum for presenting and discussing high-quality research in the field at international level, involving practitioners and researchers from diverse backgrounds. MOBIQUITOUS 2015 will thus foster research collaboration through focused discussions, interaction and exchange of experiences that will designate future research efforts and directions. Areas addressed by the conference include systems, applications, social networks, middleware, networking, data management and services, all with special focus on mobility and ubiquitous computing.

Topics of the Conference will be:

  • Wireless Access Technologies;
  • Networked Sensing and Applications;
  • Mobile Device Architectures;
  • Mobile Systems and Applications;
  • Mobile Data Management and Analytics;
  • Mobile Multimedia;
  • Mobile User Interfaces and Interaction Technologies;
  • Mobile User Experience;
  • Toolkit and Languages for Mobile Computing;
  • Energy Aware Mobile Computing;
  • Mobile Cloud Computing;
  • Semantic Web Technologies;
  • Localization and Tracking;
  • Internet of Things – Systems, Data Analytics and Applications;
  • Crowdsourcing – Platforms and Applications;
  • Participatory Sensing;
  • Social Network Applications to Mobile Computing;
  • Context and Location Aware Applications and Services;
