The 8th International Conference on Bio-inspired Information and Communications Technologies (BICT, formerly BIONETICS) is to take place in Boston, Massachusetts, US on December 1-3, 2014. Chaired by Prof. Jun Suzuki and Prof. Tadashi Nakano, the conference is aimed at addressing a multitude of issues in the field.
What to expect from the conference? The conference promises to be a multidisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners interested in biological systems and ICT with the two main thrusts: direct and indirect bio-inspiration. In addition, BICT 2014 proposes a number of technical sessions, special tracks, demo/poster sessions, workshop, and social events. The list of topics to be discussed is quite impressive ranging from signal/information processing to socially-aware, game theoretic and other metaphor-assisted research.
Why to attend the conference? Apart from the possibility to get immersed into the latest updates on cutting-edge research and socialize with the key experts of the field, all accepted papers will be published by ACM and submitted for indexing by SI, EI Compendex, Scopus, ACM Library, Google Scholar and many more. There is even more: selected papers will be considered for publication in leading journals.
The conference venue is the exquisite University of Massachusetts Club.
