Weekly recap

EAI’s conference season will bring a wealth of events that reflect the future of ICT innovation. While focusing on the upcoming events, we proudly continue to bring you content written by and about the members of EAI’s Community of remarkable ICT innovators. In our recent interview, Dr. Joshua I.James introduced ICDF2C 2015, of which he is the General Chair, and discussed the relationship between digital forensics research, law enforcement, and cybercrime. Meanwhile, the importance of collaboration between researchers and practitioners was the key topic of our interview with Professor Ramón Agüero, the General Chair of MONAMI 2015. Like all EAI events, the conference will reflect this approach, and promises to be an excellent event.

We are delighted to inform you that another authority on the subject, Dr. Jože Rugelj, has contributed to Prof. Vaz de Carvalho’s section on Serious Games. Dr. Rugelj insights illuminate the didactic aspects of game-based learning, to argue that the former is crucial for the success of the latter.

In anticipation of this year’s editions, we went back to some of our best last year’s conferences presenting our digest of ‘When Twitter meets Foursquare: Tweet Location Prediction using Foursquare’  winner of the Best Paper Award at  MOBIQUITOUS 2014 and a paper on cloud-stored data presented at COLLABORATECOM.

On top of informing you about upcoming conferences and paper submission deadlines, we have also introduced you to the latest issue of EAI Transaction on Industrial Network andIntelligent Systems. As all of EAI’s journals, this issue is  full of high-quality up-to-date ICT research, and provide a great, informative read.

Join us on the path towards the future of ICT!
