The countdown until the first day of the 10th IEEE International Conference on Collaborative Computing is officially on! There are just a few days left until the opening of the engaging discussions on open systems aimed at enhancing collaboration in multi-organizational settings. Apart from twelve sessions and two panels on a multitude of topics in collaborative computing research, the conference offers two insightful tutorials led by the key experts in the field.
What is going to be discussed at CollaborateCom 2014? Computer science experts from all around the world such as Brian Blake (University of Miami), Xiaoyang Sean Wang (Fudan University), and Bhavani Thuraisingham (University of Texas) will tackle the trendy topics of participatory sensing, crowdsourcing, worksharing, big data challenges, social media, and others. For those interested in more specific discussions, CollaborateCom 2014 proposes three co-located workshops devoted to the Internet of Things, Trusted Collaboration, and Collaborative Cloud respectively. Conference organizers have also thought about those passionate about interactive learning: these people should not be missed at the two co-located tutorials on nature-inspired cyber defenses, and big data management led by Mohamed Eltoweissy (Virginia Military Institute) and Latifur R. Khan (University of Texas) respectively.
Participants will benefit not only from the scientific value of the conference, but also from the wonderful location: Miami Beach Resort, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, will host this year’s event. Get ready for the opportunity to get familiar with collaborative computing novelties and enjoy the famous Miami sunshine!
