Few weeks left to CollaborateCom 2015, the Eleventh EAI International Conference on Collaborative Computing: Networking, Applications and Worksharing taking place on November 10–11 in Wuhan, People’s Republic of China.
Over the last two decades, many organizations and individuals have relied on electronic collaboration between distributed teams of humans, computer applications, and/or autonomous robots to achieve higher productivity and produce joint products. For ten years, CollaborateCom has been a crossover for ideas, discussion and new projects spread by the cooperation between industry and academia.
Song Guo, from University of Aizu in Japan, and Xiaofei Liao, from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, will chair the conference, which will be also enriched by two inspiring keynote speeches. Prof. Jiannong Cao, from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, will speak about ‘Social Context Modelling and Recognition: Current Work and Future Directions’; whilst Prof. Huadong Ma, from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), will give a talk titled ‘Mobile Crowd Sensing: Problems and Explorations’.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Participatory sensing, crowdsourcing, and citizen science;
- Architectures, protocols, and enabling technologies for collaborative computing networks and systems;
- Autonomic computing and quality of services in collaborative networks, systems, and applications;
- Collaboration in pervasive and cloud computing environments;
- Collaboration in data-intensive scientific discovery.
Participating in CollaborateCom 2015 is an occasion for scientific and technical meetings and workshops, but it is also an opportunity for leisure by visiting Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province and the most populous city in Central China.
