Prof. Wang, MOBIMEDIA: 'Visual computing for the future of the IoT, cloud and Big Data'

With research interests that include networking, wireless sensor networks, multimedia communication, network and information security, software engineering and programming, embedded sensory system, biomedical computing, and pattern recognition, over 100 published papers and 30 publication in prestigious IEEE journals, Prof. Honggang Wang is an assistant professor at UMass Dartmouth and is an affiliated faculty member of Advanced Telecommunications Engineering Laboratory at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prof. Wang will be the General Chair of the 8th International Conference on Mobile Multimedia Communications, MOBIMEDIA 2015. What is the main contribution that research can bring to the current debate on privacy and security in mobile computing?

In recent years, privacy and security issues in Mobile computing have been raised by many mobile applications such as mobile healthcare. The solutions offered by the research target at the minimizing the security risk and maximize the privacy protections to users while keeping the resource and cost efficiency of mobile computing.
